A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an  experienced Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP to join a highly reputable state of the art private hospital based in Southend on Sea, Essex. The hospital has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP to join our friendly theatre team on a permanent basis. The service is ideally situated in Southend-on-Sea and is within easy reach of public transport links and local amenities. The team are passionate about person centred care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and looking for a like-minded Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP to join them. This vibrant and modern hospital boasts some of the latest technology and offers a wide range of treatments covering a variety of surgical procedures.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP and will be responsible for the following;

  • Working across a variety of different specialisms including Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology and ENT.
  • Working across 3 operating theatres in a busy and varied environment
  • Provide support to junior members of staff
  • Demonstrating best practice at all times
  • Run a theatre list without supervision
  • Perform scrub duties and work across multi specialities
  • Ensure the patient record is completed in a timely and accurate manner

Who we’re looking for

  • Be NMC / HCPC  registered- your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Minimum of 2 years UK theatre experience with major orthopaedics
  • Compassionate and able to showcase excellent patient care
  • Experience working with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills
