A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an  experienced Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP to join a highly reputable state of the art private hospital based in Southend on Sea, Essex. The hospital has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP to join our friendly theatre team on a permanent basis. The service is ideally situated in Southend-on-Sea and is within easy reach of public transport links and local amenities. This vibrant and modern hospital boasts some of the latest technology and offers a wide range of treatments covering a variety of surgical procedures.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP and will be responsible for the following;

• Working across a variety of different specialisms including Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology and ENT.
• Working across 3 operating theatres in a busy and varied environment
• Provide support to junior members of staff
• Demonstrating best practice at all times
• Run a theatre list without supervision
• Perform scrub duties and work across multi specialities
• Ensure the patient record is completed in a timely and accurate manner

Who we’re looking for

• Be NMC / HCPC  registered- your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK
• Minimum of 2 years UK theatre experience with major orthopaedics
• Compassionate and able to showcase excellent patient care
• Experience working with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills
