Simon Berry

Founder and M.D.

As our Founder and M.D. of Appoint Healthcare, Simon is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the business. Prior to starting Appoint Healthcare, Simon had a long and successful career in healthcare and engineering recruitment, backed by a degree in Business Management. In his spare time he can be found yacht racing, skiing, motorbiking, and generally living it up with his wife and daughter.

Eve Downing

Operations Director

As Operations Director, virtually every Appoint Healthcare process has Eve's touch. Since her beginnings as a Trainee Consultant in 2012, post her enriching Psychology studies, Eve can now be found doing anything and everything possible to drive efficiency and help the recruiters achieve their goals. In her spare time, she loves singing, acting, dancing, and generally prancing around in local musicals and shows.

Erin Giles

Recruitment Director - Specialist Care

Erin has passionately led as our Recruitment Director since 2011, shaping the Healthcare Division from its early days. Awarded ‘Mrs Motivator’ and ‘Energizer Bunny’ in our annual ceremony, she pairs her Business Management degree with a stellar reputation to guide candidates and clients seamlessly through the recruitment process. Erin is full of adventure and loves to travel; she recently got married in Santorini, Greece and is a self-confessed gin and Haribo addict!

Amy Daruvalla

Healthcare Divisional Manager - Hospitals & Clinics

As Healthcare Divisional Manager, Amy's leads our NHS & private hospitals and clinics division, as well as our Elderly division. With a foundation in Psychology and diverse roles, she blends her management, listening and matching skills flawlessly. Amy is that smiling face in the office, always ready to assist her team. Off-duty, she's either at the gym, running after her two little ones, eating great food along with a good glass of bubbly, or dreaming of her next sunlit vacation!

Michelle Connolly

Accounts Manager

As our Accounts Manager, Michelle meticulously oversees our finances, ensuring we’re all paid on time. Prior to joining Appoint Healthcare in 2013, she managed finances in the design and manufacturing sectors. Beyond her professional prowess, Michelle is a gym enthusiast, putting us all to shame! During breaks, we adore when her little girl visits, eagerly anticipating the day she starts showing us her computer skills.

Amy Parker

Recruitment Team Lead – Specialist Care

As Team Leader of our Specialist Care team specialising, Amy is dedicated to helping specialist care providers build their teams. Transitioning from a similar recruitment background, she believes in providing a VIP service for her candidates and clients, creating a truly consultative experience. Office-renowned for her wicked laugh, off-the-clock, she's either spending quality time with family, dining out, or singing her heart out in a karaoke session.

Rebecca Chapple

Lead Consultant - Elderly Care

Since joining Appoint Healthcare in 2015, Rebecca has been pivotal in shaping our Elderly Care division. As a Lead Consultant, Rebecca heads up our Healthcare Management and Executive team. Her innate ability to cultivate relationships, combined with her efficiency, ensures all parties find the best fit. Rebecca's vibrant personality and generous spirit are evident both in her professional guidance and her role as the office's unofficial snack provider.

Rebecca Kelly

Lead Consultant - Elderly Care

Rebecca, a Lead Consultant, specialises in placing Registered Nurses in UK nursing homes with top care companies. Previously from an aviation sector as Cabin Crew for an international airline, her background ensures exceptional customer service for candidates and clients. Outside work, she enjoys the gym, long walks with her Golden Retriever, Barney, and travelling with her fiancé. Despite her training, Rebecca indulges in cosy pizza nights at home.

Ellie Cowell

Recruitment Consultant – Specialist Care

Ellie recruits for Registered Nurses for various services within our Specialist Care division across the whole UK. Coming from an aviation background, she traded world travels for the world of recruitment and now specialises in mental health, learning disabilities, and complex care services. When she’s not connecting candidates with their dream roles, Ellie’s either sunbathing on an exotic holiday, relishing family moments, or on a shopping spree at Zara.
