About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and empathetic Oncology Nurse to join a highly reputable private healthcare provider based within a cancer care centre on the outskirts of Watford. The service is ideally situated close to Luton and Watford and is within easy reach of public transport links. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Oncology Nurse to work within their friendly and welcoming oncology team. The team are passionate about person centred care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and looking for a like-minded Oncology Nurse to join them. The service follows the entire patient journey from diagnosis through to treatment, working very closely with Oncologists.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as an Oncology Nurse and will be responsible for:

  • The provision of exemplary planned care for patients and assisting in the management and organisation of care provision in a range of hospital settings
  • Work closely with the Oncology and Haematology Consultants
  • Chaperone and assist Consultants during patient examinations and any minor surgical procedures
  • Administer cytotoxic treatment and supportive treatments to patients within the cancer pathway
  • Support the patient journey from diagnosis through treatment,Who we’re looking for
  • Be NMC or registered with no restrictions on practice
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Chemotherapy experience is highly desirable
  • Certified chemotherapy course qualification is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, along with being organised and can showcase excellent patient care.
