“Feedback is the breakfast of champions”

This is one of Appoint Group’s ultimate favourite quotes. It’s one that we are continually repeating when it comes to our own development. Good old-fashioned honest feedback is the best way for us all to grow, and to succeed in life and work.

MYTH: We only ask for feedback to boost our ego

Obviously, positive feedback is great. Yes, it gives us a confidence boost and gives us extra motivation to keep doing what we’re doing. It may sound cheesy, but it’s true that there is no such thing as bad feedback.

Negative feedback (or ‘constructive criticism’ as it’s always called) is even more valuable than the positive stuff. It gives us the chance to improve and increases the number of positive reviews we receive!

How does Net Promotor Score work?

Net Promotor Score (NPS) is a fancy name for a feedback system that’s used in large and small companies all over the world. It works by asking customers (in our case, both jobseekers and employers) to rate our service on a scale of 1 to 10 for how likely they’d be to recommend us to a friend or colleague. The second part is asking them to provide a reason for their score.

Your NPS score is calculated based on the scores below:

  • 9-10 out of 10: Promotors (people who are outwardly big fans of your business)
  • 7-8 out of 10: Passive (people who are happy but might not go out of their way to recommend you)
  • 1-6 out of 10: Detractors (people who aren’t happy and wouldn’t recommend you)

It’s sometimes considered that NPS scores for each bracket are relatively harsh. Surely a 6/10 is a pretty good score? Well, according to the NPS system, a 6/10 is an undesirable score, and even a 7 or an 8 is distinctly average.

Our whopping score at Appoint Group

We are extremely proud of our NPS score! At the time of writing this (July 2019), our NPS score is a whopping +85.8. To give a frame of reference, the average score is around +20.

That means that the vast majority of our candidates and clients have rated us at 9 or 10 out of 10. To add some significance to this score, it’s based on reviews from around 1000 people just from the past two years. That’s 1000 happy people.

We’ve received some amazing positive feedback over the years. One of the most rewarding parts of our feedback ‘library’ is that they sometimes come from candidates who we haven’t placed in a role, who perhaps haven’t been successful in their interview or we didn’t have anything suitable for them at the time. In this way, it’s fantastic to know that we’re creating a positive impact on the healthcare industry.

If you’re one of the 1000 people who’ve already provided feedback for us, THANK YOU!

If you’d like to find out what all the fuss is about and see how we can help you find your next career move, call us today on 01489 799959, or email us at info@appointgroup.co.uk.
