Clinical Lead – Brain Injury Rehabilitation
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) or Learning Disability Nurse ( RNLD ) for a Clinical Lead role available. Located in Newport, this is a Specialist Hospital for adults with Neuro- Psychiatric Conditions and Acquired Brain Injuries and Degenerative Neuro Conditions. Service users are cared for in one of the single gendered Units depending on their unique needs. The salary on offer is up to £57,720 p/a and is negotiable. This is a Monday to Friday role

- Shifts: Monday – Friday 9-5 with oncall requirements

The service Located in Newport, offers up to 39 beds across single-gender units. Providing care, treatment and rehabilitation for males and females age 18- 65 offering specialist treatment and nursing care that focuses on delivering positive outcomes for our patients and their families The hospital has its own hair and beauty salon, and a team of trained drivers regularly take patients out for community trips. A local farm also brings in a variety of animals once a month, which always proves popular with residents..
You will form part of the hospital’s leadership team and will join a team motivated by providing the highest level of treatment, care and service provision. You will be responsible for ensuring your team possess the skills, knowledge and motivation to meet the high level of care expected. You will report to the Hospital Director and be responsible for the smooth administration of the ward.
Knowledge of working with patients with complex needs who may have received a diagnosis of personality disorder is vital, as is an interest in the psychological treatments and approaches that are required for this client group. You will also have good knowledge of working across the spectrum of mental health conditions and neurological conditions. At interview you will be expected to share how you would use this clinical knowledge and experience to guide and inform your team’s practice.
